Why am I showing a picture of an open wound? Read on to see.
Part 4 …let’s just call the series “health”.
HOW DOES THE MASTER COMPUTER OF OUR BODY (THE BRAIN) KNOW HOW TO, FIRST, TAKE TWO CELLS AND COMBINE THEM TO MAKE A WHOLE BABY AND THEN AFTERWARDS HANDLE THE COUNTLESS FUNCTIONS NEEDED DAILY TO KEEP US ALIVE? For lack of a better name, let’s call it INNATE (or inborn) INTELLIGENCE. (much more of that in the days ahead)
How does the body know how to make the GI Tract and manufacture the many acids, enzymes and emulsifiers needed to digest the food we ate for lunch? How does it then take that food and use it to grow a child? How does it decide when the child should no longer grow? How is the body able to heal wounds or fight off disease?
Most would likely and rightly, say that God is behind any miracle. And going back to the premise we introduced in part 1, it is God alone (beautifully depicted in Michelangelo’s painting atop the Sistine Chapel) who gives the “spark…or ‘breath’” of life to each person at the instant of conception.
When we have an injury we can pour antiseptic on the wound to prevent infection, we can swallow antibiotics to prevent bacteria from invading and the doctors can shoot us full of a variety of medicines and apply pounds of salve…BUT it’s a joke to believe that the healing takes place by any means aside from the power of life instilled by God. THE POWER WITHIN THE BODY HEALS THE BODY.
The difference between life and death is fascinating. And for today, I’ll wrap up with this example. PROBIOTICS are much in the limelight for anyone studying health. These are the “friendly” bacteria that are meant to first be introduced to the baby at the time of birth. The birth canal of a healthy mother is loaded with probiotics and the emerging infant gets bathed in them before emerging into the world. . The “spark” of life within the infant then allows the probiotics to exist in symbiosis throughout his (or her) lifespan. (As long as we don’t foolishly kill off the probiotics by the use of antibiotics which not only kill the bad bacteria, they also destroy the good). This of course, is the reason the patient should be advised to add food sources of healthy probiotics back to the diet…even while they continue to take the antibiotic….but that is an aside.
But let’s continue with that one last thought. You have heard “ashes to ashes; dust to dust”.
At the moment of death…the time when GOD removes that spark of life…those very same healthy bacteria which performed endless beneficial functions (including with respect to digestion and GI health) during life, will then turn on the lifeless and now useless body to begin the process of breaking it down and returning it to dust.
MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT THIS…It is God alone and the ‘spark’ He alone instills that makes the difference and it is that which does the healing under the direction of INNATE or inborn intelligence.
Let’s stop giving credit to outside sources of healing who do not deserve it.
Enough for today…hope to see you tomorrow.
